About us

This Bumpy Adventure captures the daily experience of three stay-at-home(ish) moms in East Toronto who met at prenatal class and have connected over many things, including our personal interests, our parenting styles, and our children. We have been lucky enough to find in each other a safe place to share our stories and daily lives, and now we want to invite you along for the journey. This blog is about our adventures in parenting, the things we do to stay sane, and the fun we have along the way.

Wendy Churton  I’m a mom and wife who loves carpentry and at-home DIY. I work on a freelance basis in theatre and opera, and these days I’m navigating life with my son’s food allergies, as well as my postpartum anxiety. I live in the east end with my husband Brad, my son Will, and a Golden Retriever named Obie.

Jackie Olynyk  I live in a hundred-year-old East York semi with my daughter G and husband Geoff. My average day is spent chasing after my very active toddler in our perpetually-under-construction home while Geoff travels for work. I enjoy good food and good books, travelling, and writing. My passion for baking is constantly at war with my desire to eat nutritious food, and I hate to exercise but love to feel strong.

Charlene Daignault Beatty  I’m Char, Mike’s wife and Ben’s mama. We live in the east end and love long walks on the beach with our spunky wiener dog Sammie. My weeks often straddle a fine line as a stay-at-home mama, while hustling as an arts educator and freelance content writer/ illustrator. If you’re looking for me, I’ll be under the pile of laundry with my toddler, prepping materials for my next art workshop.
